552HIRC Landscape-Format Offset Presses Only Available in The two-tower Hamada B252A, the four-tower Hamada B452AI, and
the five-tower Hamada 552AI print sheets up to 20-15/32" x 14-3/8"
(520 x 365 mm). These fully featured, landscape-format Titan presses are
simple, yet powerful, to deliver superior performance for the short or long
multi-color print run. The advanced 16-roller inking system (including 3 form rollers)
was computer designed to achieve optimum print quality on every solid, screen
and halftone. A 5-roller continuous dampener applies a stable, thin water
film to the plate. The system includes a chiller / re-circulator and can be
run either integrated or segregated to suit stock and image. Operator-friendly controls include push-button operation and
automatic sequencing. Semi-automatic blanket cleaning both washes and dries
to save time. A delivery non-marking cylinder makes running heavily inked
jobs much easier. Double-diameter shaft-less impression cylinders, triple-diameter
transfer cylinders, helical-cut drive gears and tapered bearings add to
precision performance and smooth, reliable printing. Pneumatic control
mechanisms decrease the number of moving parts to extend press life and
reduce maintenance costs. Stream feeding promotes accurate registration and allows a wider
variety of stocks to be run. This compact system features pre-piling which
allows an operator to load paper while the press is running. The register
board is easy to adjust and has both mechanical and electronic double sheet
detectors. Running register for horizontal and vertical image adjustments
maximize productivity. A swing gripper in-feed plus operator and non-operator side pull
guides ensure excellent register even at high speeds. Micro-adjustment of the
sheet skew is done easily by turning a knob. Easy Plate Setting (EPS) allows
quick, accurate mounting of metal or polyester plates with no tools. An
operator can hang a plate in about 50 seconds, greatly reducing make-ready
time.
