EasyTrap™ EasyTrap™ is an easy-to-use, fully automatic, in-RIP trapping
solution for the DPM. Because EasyTrap is integrated into the DPM’s
PrintersRIP, it optimizes workflow efficiency and throughput by eliminating
the bottleneck caused by manual trapping. EasyTrap is flexible and works smoothly with jobs that are
created with dedicated pre-press or graphics applications, such as Quark XPress®
and Adobe PageMaker®, that have built-in trapping
capabilities. EasyTrap understands and facilitates those settings. Or,
EasyTrap can do all the work for jobs that are submitted untrapped. And since
there’s no need to purchase multiple versions of trapping software for every
Mac and PC workstation, EasyTrap will also reduce costs. With EasyTrap, trapping is performed automatically by creating a
setting in the Trapset dialog box. Trapset allows the user to create a
setting name, define choke values and normal or highlight trap colors and
limit the number of objects to be trapped. In addition, screen angles, ink maximums and overprint
relationships can all be defined and saved for future use. EasyTrap provides the opportunity to view traps before going to final
output by simply selecting the page in the PrintersRIP then “roaming” it at
high resolution. This ensures you are getting highly workable plates and
simplifies the printing process. |
