ABDick Vector TX52 Metal CTP A Unique, Complete System The ABDick Vector TX52 thermal
plate-setter and Freedom chemistry-free plates provides the short-run, small
format (52cm and under) printer with a unique metal platemaking
solution for higher productivity, cleaner operation and lower production and
material costs. It’s the first fully integrated, chemistry-free thermal metal
CTP system on the market – and the world’s lowest
priced. This system is designed for maximum ease-of-use to streamline
your entire platemaking operation while delivering
the speed, quality and performance you need to meet customer demands. The ability to operate in normal room conditions allow this CTP
unit to fit into any environment. Handling and imaging plates in normal room
lighting eliminates the costs and special provisions required for safe-light
and darkroom conditions. Vector CTP is a chemistry-free system. Plates are simply cleaned
with water (inside the unit) after imaging. Plus, Freedom plates do not
require baking, special cleaning fluids or gumming for use which results in
less waste material and reduced environmental impact.
Thermal imaging deliver-s clean, sharp, well-defined and highly
repeatable images. Plates are free of the inconsis-tencies
in image quality associated with emulsion variances, exposure problems,
chemical aging, processor condition and environmental changes. ABDick innovations such as the built-in plate
washer and ThinDrum™ technology, along with Pressktek’s new thermal laser design, allow for lower
manufacturing costs. We pass the savings onto our customers. With an ABDick ThinDrum™,
there’s less drum surface area to come into contact with the plate. Multiple
support “ribs” form the plate into the optimal cylindrical shape for imaging
by the Presstek SureFire
laser. The fully integrated plate wash delivers clean, press-ready plates
without the need for a separate processor (or the space and expense another
unit brings). In addition to enhancing productivity in the prepress area, the
Vector TX52 also improves productivity in the press-room. ABDick Freedom plates perform extremely well
on press, delivering all the familiar per-formance
characteristics and stability of conventional aluminum printing plates. A
unique surface structure on the plate results in exceptionally fast makeready, greater ink/water latitude and excellent durability. Freedom plates accommodate a wide range of industry standard
inks and fountain solutions with the added benefitof
less chemical consumption on press than conventional offset and other CTP
