ABDick Digital PlateMaster 2404 / 2508 The Digital PlateMaster 2404/2508 is a
high-resolution plate and film setter that features a fully integrated PS3 Harlequin
RIP and internal polyester plate processor. It is easy to use and offers
excellence in performance and quality. The DPM 2404/2508 streamlines your workflow by seamlessly
blending the efficiency and precision of digital platemaking
with the functionality of conventional printing. Designed specifically for
landscape and portrait presses 52cm and smaller, the DPM2404/2508 is ideal
for the production of all types of high quality two-up+ work. By allowing the production of press-ready plates from your desktop
computer, many steps are eliminated from the pre-press process and fewer
materials are needed. There is less operator involvement; and, a digitally
produced plate will be cleaner and of higher image quality. The internal drum design provides superior image definition and
repeatability while maintaining high output speeds. And, with screen rulings
of 175 lpi when imaging to plate and 300 lpi to film, the DPM2404/2508 is ideally suited for a
wide range of applications, including process color. The Printers RIP includes a unique software feature for plate
positioning. Plate size and gripper margin set-ups are included to ensure
perfectly imaged and positioned plates, time after time. The Calibration
Manager is used to fine tune the output to suit the individual
characteristics of each printing press in your shop. The DPM2404/2508 also let you output film for larger presses,
longer print runs or special customer requests. Plates are processed in-line
in the DPM’s completely integrated processor. Film,
once imaged, is sent to a take-up cassette for off-line processing.
